Josef Moucachen is an Amsterdam-based indie developer and the mind behind NameQuick, a macOS utility that uses AI to rename and organize files based on their actual contents. What I'm building
I’m building NameQuick, a macOS app that helps people quickly rename and organize messy files using AI. It works with both cloud AI models and local LLMs, so users can choose between powerful cloud-based intelligence and more private, on-device processing depending on their needs. NameQuick looks at the contents of files like PDFs, screenshots, receipts, invoices, and documents, then suggests clear, useful filenames that make everything easier to search, sort, and understand later.
