Bio
Alessandro Vozza (Alessandro Stefouli-Vozza) is a Dutch technologist with a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Universiteit van Amsterdam who has spent 25 years in open source and 20+ years building production infrastructure. His career traces a clean arc — from software development through cloud infrastructure at Red Hat and Solo.io, into cloud-native developer relations at Microsoft, and now into AI infrastructure at VOLT, a European sovereign compute company building GPU clusters and AI Factories across Europe. His own headline captures it cleanly: "From Code to Clouds to Cognition."
At VOLT, Alessandro is working at the intersection of sovereign compute and the AI infrastructure buildout — what he calls "AI Gigafactories." He also founded Kubespaces.io, a cloud-native training and consultancy, and organises the Dutch Cloud Native community meetup. He holds the CNCF Ambassador credential and the Kubestronaut certification, and has been Sessionize's Most Active Speaker three consecutive years (2023, 2024, 2025), with regular appearances at KubeCon and CloudNativeCon.
He is one of those rare builders with deep roots in both the technical craft and the community infrastructure around it — someone who has contributed to shaping the cloud-native ecosystem as a practitioner, educator, and organiser simultaneously. His current focus on AI/ML workloads on Kubernetes and European sovereign compute reflects a deliberate pivot: applying two decades of distributed systems experience to the infrastructure layer that will underpin the next wave of AI.
