Bio
Alioune Thiam is a Amsterdam-based multidisciplinary designer with over seven years of consultancy experience, currently a Senior Visual Designer at Argo Design. His career traces a deliberate path through some of Europe's most respected design studios — from OneDay Group and Studio UP in Milan, through Frog Design, and into his current home at Argo — building a practice that sits at the intersection of UI/UX, motion, and brand.
His client roster reflects serious range: Dutch Railways, VanMoof, ING, Zwilling, and New York Life. These aren't landing-page commissions — they're complex product and brand systems for organizations where design decisions carry real operational weight. A substantial portion of his work lives behind NDAs, which is typical of the consultancy tier he operates in.
Thiam came to design through an unusual entry point — an IT degree before formal design training at Nuova Accademia delle Belle Arti (NABA) in Milan, studying Graphic Design and Art Direction. That technical foundation likely informs how he thinks about systems and interaction, not just aesthetics. He also takes on freelance art direction through Contra, suggesting an independent practice running alongside his studio role.
