Maxime Lubbers

Maxime Lubbers is an Amsterdam-based humane technologist whose work sits at the intersection of organizational mindset and emerging technology. She spent five years at Accenture as a technology strategy consultant, working across blockchain, web3, and metaverse — then moved into the ecosystem side as DeepTech/AI Ecosystem Lead at Techleap, where she watches what actually happens when organizations try to innovate at scale. Her core conviction: the assumptions leaders carry into technology decisions matter more than the technology itself.

In 2025 she founded Untangle Lab, an applied think tank for responsible tech leadership. Her signature contribution is the FOMO 2.0 framework — Form opinion, Organize conflict, Merge insights, Orchestrate action — a structured process for helping leaders build genuine judgment rather than borrowed consensus. She's formalizing that work into a full research program: she begins a PhD at the University of Southampton in September 2026, focused specifically on technology mindset.

She came up as a Division 1 international rower and grew up in an entrepreneurial household — both threads show in how she operates: disciplined, competitive, and allergic to complacency. She's a TEDx speaker (TEDxUniversiteitvanAmsterdam), sits on the board of a women's empowerment foundation, and has hosted 14 community events through Luma, making her one of the more active connectors in the Amsterdam AI scene.
