Bio

Tim Robben is a mid-level associate at Baker McKenzie's Dispute Resolution Practice Group in Düsseldorf, Germany. He focuses on complex arbitration and litigation, with a particular specialty in technology disputes — the messy, high-stakes disagreements that arise from software projects, outsourcing arrangements, and SaaS contracts gone wrong. He was admitted to the German bar in 2022.

Tim studied law at Osnabrück University, completed an Erasmus exchange at Pázmány Péter Catholic University in Budapest, and finished his Second State Exam at the Higher Regional Court of Düsseldorf. He is an active member of DIS 40, the German network of young arbitration practitioners, and OMCA e.V., the Osnabrücker Moot Court Association — signals of someone who takes the craft of dispute resolution seriously beyond the billable hour.

Outside the courtroom, Tim self-identifies with one word: Lego. Whether that means meticulous systems-thinking, a love of building with constraints, or simply the bricks themselves, it's a telling detail about how he moves through the world.
